Are you curious about the frogs and toads calling our wetlands, rivers, and backyards in the St. Louis region? You don’t need to be an expert to make a difference—just a love for nature and a willingness to listen.
Gateway FrogWatch connects volunteers of all ages and experience levels to hands-on community science. By participating, you help monitor amphibian populations, support wetland conservation, and contribute valuable data to scientists working to protect these important ecosystems.
Explore this site to learn about upcoming trainings, identify local frog calls, join our iNaturalist project, and find resources to get started. Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a seasoned naturalist, there’s a place for you in the Gateway FrogWatch community!
Our FrogWatch community offers several different ways you can participate with different level of training and time commitment. You have the option to help collect data about our frog and toad populations as a user of iNaturalist (FrogWatch-Lite) or as a FrogWatch Volunteer.
Check out the following project options below to find one that works for you and become a frog and toad conservationist.
Thank You Collaborators!
